Small rewind #1.. Trying to recollect past 7 months' stuffs..

Oh its May 9th.. An event reminder in my phone says - "Welcome to the world of online retailing" :) Got up.. Got ready.. Had b'fast with Pranoy.. Climbed into the cab that was sent for us.. So who are all in?

  • Shruti
  • Pranoy
  • Srinath
  • Myself
We headed towards K. Raheja Mindspace, India's largest IT park.. Those three guys were from same college, PSG Tech. They were talking about their friends and something else. Actually it looked like 'peter' for me. But I didn't get a clue about who the hell was the audience. Is it driver or me? Leave it. Shruti asked me something in the official language. I replied something in Tamil. Decided - "Shouldn't talk to these guys when they are together, coz they do this 'peter' thing". Oh yeah :) Welcome to the mindspace ;) 'I'm here' What a feel :) Then reached office building, signed in some register at the gate and headed in. New character intro - Krithiga, another PSG to join them. Where were we going? Its Mt. Everest. There was around 50 new joinees. Half of them were interns. First one on the left side of the table was a guy who looked very pity. I thought he came from some interior parts of rural India. He was Harsha Nandan Sonthineni, a genius of my age and the one who tries be an aethist. He was actually from IIT Mumbai. Then the session went on. We first met Adithya Rallapalli (Spelling may be wrong) He told a lot about Amazon's policies but I remember only holiday policies. Then this bank acc thing, photo session and finally meeting the team. We got introduced to Abhinav Darbhari, 'awesome' man(ager). Here we includes,
  • Harsha
  • Myself
  • Pranoy
  • Shruti
  • Srinath
  • Niketh
Who is this new character - Niketh? He is the man :) We, all new joinees, got some goodies that includes a rope-paper kinda bag, T-shirt and a water bottle. When we meet the team and we were talking about the goodies, he told 'the water bottle is lame'. For me at that time lame was a new word. But I can guess that he meant ridiculous from people's laughter. The point is - "What a guy! He says bad about something offered by the company on the very first day to the people over there"

Then I met the most electrifying man of CDEX - Ayush Chauhan. His usual dialog - "Have fun :) " He took us around both floors and said us about how to adapt to the culture over there. Great man.

Then, next day I think, we had a meeting with Abhinav and Viman (TFS, once). After that teams and mentors were assigned.
- Niketh and Harsha (Two geeks) --> TIPS under Viman
- Pranoy and Srinath (Roomates) --> BITS under Ayush
- Shruti and Myself --> CDEX under Teja

About Viman - He knows how to enjoy and how to work simultaneously. I didnt get an opportunity to learn that from him.

About Teja - A long story as he was my mentor.

Next two weeks passed just like that. Team got shifted to new office. Waved tata to AtHome apartments. Things changed. Less money in pocket, bank.. Then its 30th May. Got my first ever salary of my life. Its 14735 INR. Sent 10k home. Sent it to Karthi na's acc and Ragu got it from him. Really really happy :)

Oh whats next?? Big bosses intro. Got connected to three icons of AMZN.

Sivakumar Sethuraman - Warlord of Transportation
Kalpesh Sutaria - 'The Kalpesh'
Neha Goswami - Super busy Super talented Super manager :) :)

Most important character of my internship coming in now - Thanisha Seghal. There is no situation that she couldnt handle. 'She is the one'.

There was a meeting. Ayush explained us ( Shruti, Thanisha and me) about TRACES. Thought Thanisha was a full-timer at that time as her voice was heard all-time during that meeting.

(To be continued)

Time to introduce some rules..

Happenings of recent past is really really bad equal to the good stuff happened. From my internship experience - Problems (errors, technically) makes you a better person. More error corrections more powerful you become. So I modified my brain's way of functioning to focus on something else instead of worrying about something. Coming to the topic, why do I need rules now? Life is well without any rules, till now . As mankind continue to evolve, rules are built and followed which got updated periodically. For e.g. there was once this rule - Wife should follow husband even if he is dead [Sati]. Then when people thought it was bad, they just abolished that. ( A good debate can be made out of this, but civilized idiots don't like that) Current assumptions/blind belief: Evil living inside people's heart grows rapidly as years pass by.Currently, it might be 60% People who are of city natives [not exactly, born and brought up] are generally bad A girl - 'who shows...
